Community Access Bakar Labs (CABL) Membership
Overview: CABL is a new QB3 and Bakar Labs program for startups that wish to benefit from--and contribute to-- our ecosystem without leasing space. Membership includes invitations to in-person events designed to accelerate the growth of startups, providing opportunities to speak with leaders across the life science ecosystem. QB3 taps its extensive network connections to attract industry veterans, top researchers, high quality VCs and numerous other service providers as featured speakers at these events. CABL members also enjoy connections to the vibrant community of 30+ tenant companies and 20 industry affiliates. All successful applicants have demonstrated that they would be a valuable addition to the QB3/ Bakar Labs ecosystem.
CABL Membership Benefits*:

CABL is suitable for:

Startups that have existing lab operations elsewhere, including other incubators.
Digital or data science-based companies that do not require lab space.
Alumni companies that wish to maintain active ties to the QB3/Bakar Labs program.
Selection Criteria:
To be eligible, the company must be incorporated, its mission must be in scope for Bakar Labs and QB3, and it must have a compelling technology and team. Also, BEVC would be able to consider the company for investment under potential terms that would be negotiated in good faith. To be considered, teams must submit an application that includes the company summary, basic information about the leadership team, and mutual benefits of joining. Bakar Labs and QB3 staff will screen applications, and the company may then pitch the Bakar Labs Tenant Selection Committee to receive an invitation for membership.
Terms of Membership:
Members are invited to interact with the Bakar Labs community through Bakar Labs events or casual interactions. No use of lab spaces or equipment is permitted. Activities or benefits that may pose undue burden to the Bakar BioEnginuity Hub program are not permitted. Members who anticipate spending significant time at BBH (exclusive of events) are expected to attend the safety orientation.
The membership fee is $2,000 every 6 months. Members must demonstrate current liability insurance coverage prior to joining.
