Freight Elevator Usage

We can provide independent service freight elevator use for your move-in. We will set the freight elevator to “independent service” which will cause the elevator to remain on the floor you are loading or unloading at. Please schedule this service with Bakar Labs staff in advance of your move date. When you need to move the elevator, the steps are:

1. Press the floor that you want to go to

2. Press and hold the “Close Doors” button until the doors are fully closed, and you feel the elevator start to move.

   1. If you release the “Close Doors” button before the doors are fully closed, the elevator will reopen the doors and stay on the current floor.

   2. When set to “independent service”, you will not be able to call the elevator for an alternate floor. You will need to take the stairs or the passenger elevator to wherever the freight elevator is currently waiting in order to use it.

3. When you are done moving, please let a staff member know so that we can return the elevator to normal service.
