Note: You must submit your Certificate of Insurance to Bakar Labs staff before you can move into the building. Additionally, you must make sure to renew your insurance yearly before it expires.

Policy Requirements

Important: The policy must include the following declaration "The Regents of the University of California are named as additional insured..."

Every company must obtain and maintain insurance including:

1. Commercial Form General Liability Insurance (contractual liability included) with minimum limits as follows:

   • Each Occurrence $1,000,000

   • Personal and Advertising Injury $1,000,000

   • General Aggregate $2,000,000

2. Products/Completed Operations Aggregate $ 1,000,000 upon production, distribution or sale of a product (note: this is only required when you are going to produce a product. If in R&D, you can wait until a product is nearly ready to add this insurance)

3. Property, Fire and Extended Coverage Insurance in an amount sufficient to reimburse Tenant for all its equipment, trade fixtures, inventory, fixtures, and other personal property located on or in the premises including leasehold improvements hereinafter constructed or installed.

4. Workers’ Compensation as required by California Law

5. Such other insurance in such amounts which from time to time may be reasonably required by the mutual consent of tenant and university against other insurable risks relating to performance.

Coverages (1) and (2) above must include the THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA as an additional insured.
