Moving Out

Here are some general guidelines on the move-out process, and what will be expected from you before you fully move out of the building. Please note that this is a blank template, and a version of this checklist personalized with your leased spaces will be prepared for you when you begin the move-out process.

For companies planning to move to a different location in Berkeley, we highly recommend reviewing "Guide to Opening a Business in Berkeley" as you begin to plan your move out. The guide covers construction permits, operational permits (Environmental Health, Toxic, Fire, Public Works and Zero Waste) and business tax registration.

When you are ready to terminate your lease and move out of Bakar Labs, please submit a ticket at least 60 days before your company intends to move out of the building. Once you do, we will pass on additional information about the move out process and what steps you will need to take to successfully move out of Bakar Labs.
