Dry Storage in Hallways & Closets

If you would like additional dry storage space beyond what is a part of your lab benches, some is available in the hallway outside 122, in the closet in lab 115, and in room 202 in the form of wire Uline shelves. Companies are allowed up to four (4) shelves, and each shelf costs $50/month (4'x2'x2'). If you are interested in renting a shelf or shelves in these areas, please submit a ticket.

TC Room Dry Storage

There is also dry storage available in the Tissue Culture facilities in the form of gray bins (20"x15"x5"). Each company is allowed up to four (4) bins total across both TC rooms, but no more than two (2) in room 502, due to space restrictions. If you'd like to store more than 2 bins upstairs, there is space available in the freezer farm, room 503. Each bin rented costs $25/month. If you are interested in renting a bin or bins in these rooms, or have any questions, please submit a ticket. For clarity, a full shelf in the cabinets in 116 counts as 3 bins, regardless of how many bins are placed on the shelf.

Flammables & Corrosives Room Temperature Storage

Companies are provided 2 bins in the flammables and corrosives storage cabinets for free. Every additional bin in these locations is charged at $25/bin.

Space in flammables and corrosives cabinets is limited. When purchasing flammables/corrosives, please purchase the smallest size containers that will support your work. This helps conserve space for other companies sharing your lab area, and helps keep our volume of hazards low in the lab areas. Items stored in these areas almost certainly must be logged and barcoded upon arrival. Please review this article on our chemical barcoding process.
