Bakar Labs is equipped with a backup generator that should keep necessary items (like cold storage) powered in the event of a power outage.
If Bakar Labs has a power outage or failure please wrap up your current work and do not begin new projects. Safely put your materials away and, especially in BSL-2 facilities, make sure materials are safely secured until work can resume.
When our team is notified of a power outage---both during and after business hours---we will send an email to the Bakar Labs community with information on the outage, the status of the emergency generator, and any other critical updates. Once the outage has ended and normal power has been restored, another email will be sent to the community with that information, and updates on any systems that may still be recovering from the outage.
Once you get notice for Bakar Labs staff that equipment can be safely used again, you may continue your work.
