General Wifi Connection
Each company has a unique login to the eduroam wifi network, a secure network provided by Cal campus. Do your best to avoid using the "Berkeley-Visitor" network as it is unsecure and unreliable. If you are experiencing issues with the wifi networks from campus, you can check out the System Status Dashboard to see if there are any reported outages.
If you are a new company moving into Bakar Labs: you should receive a USERNAME and PW from a Bakar Labs staff member
If you are a new employee to a company already at Bakar Labs: your coworkers will also have the username and password and can share it with you. Or ask your friendly Bakar Labs staff member
Your username will look like: spa-[your company name].bakarlabs@berkeley.edu
or spa-[your company name]-bakarlabs@berkeley.eduYour password will be a randomly generated string of about 6-8 characters.
Go to your wifi settings, find the "eduroam" wifi network. Click on it.
Enter the username and password and you should be good to go!
If the system asks you for the CA certificate, you can select "Use System Certificate" or accept the certificate it automatically provides, depending on your operating system
For some devices (mostly Pixel phones and Android devices), you may be asked to enter a Domain when selecting "Use System Certificate." You should enter "berkeley.edu" as the Domain

Wifi For Equipment and Devices
If you have a piece of equipment (eg. printers, lab devices) that need to connect to wifi but cannot use the eduroam username and password login, Berkeley provides an IoT network you can use, Berkeley-IoT. Passwords for this network are device specific, and need to be requested by Bakar Labs Staff. If you would like to connect a device this way, please submit a ticket and include the wireless MAC address of the device. Our team will reply to you with a password for that device.
